Our first Crisis Management Workshop was such a great success, we wanted to share this opportunity with you once more! This time we have adjusted the time and some content to provide a 2 Day Workshop (Part 1 and Part 2). For those who have attended the first workshop we had back in November, you are welcome to attend Part 1 as a refresher, or you may opt to just attend Part 2, which will be a continuation of what you have already covered. This is an interactive look at the preparations that all of our churches should be making so that we can have a plan in place should tragedy, corruption, scandal, or accusations hit our churches.
Military strategists know the age old wisdom that sometimes the best battle strategy is the one which is never fought at all. As Anabaptists, this approach likely resonates. But what happens when a public issue lands on your doorstep, journalists are calling and you can’t excuse yourself or your church from responding? “ No comment” simply doesn’t work for accusations of criminal wrongdoing, perceived negligence, or human rights violations. We have no choice but to respond. Be ready to participate as this workshop will equip you to move from reacting to a crisis to responding to a critical issue and prepare you to face media interest with purpose and confidence.
