Full Time
Closing: May 15, 2025
Meadows Church meets Sunday nights at Langley Meadows Community School and offers adult, youth and kids programming. Our church operates more as a missional-outpost, coming alongside families of all faiths and backgrounds throughout the week. We have a strong connection with the elementary school we rent from. We are a church-plant birthed out of a kids summer daycamp, as whole families are embracing the faith their child accepted. It’s an exciting place to be. Because of this work of the Spirit and our strategic position in the community at an elementary school, young families are a huge priority and a major focus in all that we do.
We are looking for someone to come alongside our Meadows Kids programming by loving kids well, implementing curriculum that meets each child where they are at and pointing them to Jesus, developing systems that fit our unique church context and being a value-add/blessing in the Langley Meadows Community School. This position will have the flexibility to embrace one other area of ministry alongside the children’s role.
Job Description:
- Plan and execute the Meadows Kids Programming on Sunday Nights
- As our church continues to grow and establish itself, mold and develop registration and community systems/strategies which includes kids’ check-in and programming that fit the unique context Meadows Church finds itself in.
- Recruit and train of Meadows Kids volunteers
- Alongside the campus pastor, plan and execute three to four events per year for our Meadows families and the surrounding community.
- Be a resource for parents
- Plan and execute a community-geared summer daycamp program
- Be an asset in the public school by being present where there is need and ability to bless
- Plus one: As we are a small church-plant, this position would have one other area attached to it based on the individual’s passion and the Spirit’s leading at Meadows Church
Qualification and Qualities
- A love for kids and young families
- A passion for Jesus and a heart to point people to Jesus at every stage of their walk
- Competencies in the administrative and logistical duties of the role
- Must affirm the BCMB confession of faith
- Experience in kids’ ministry is an asset
Salary
$22-25/hour (negotiable) 22 Hours a week with benefits
