Operations Manager – The Ledge: The Rock Church’s Ministry Centre

The Ledge Ministry Operations Manager serves under the leadership of the Pastor of Evangelism and Discipleship to advance the mission of The Rock Church: To make Jesus Christ known in Squamish by practicing extraordinary hospitality through The Ledge, The Rock Church’s Ministry Centre. This role combines frontline relational outreach and evangelism through The Ledge with intentional digital evangelism and discipleship, engaging the current generation through meaningful, authentic, and gospel-centered digital content and presence.

The successful candidate will embody a missional heart, spiritual maturity, and a passion for evangelism—both face-to-face and online—using digital platforms as tools for Gospel proclamation, spiritual conversation, and connection into the life of the church.

1. Primary Areas of Ministry

1.1      Outreach & Missional Ministry (The Ledge)

• Prioritizing the values of the Ledge as a ministry center through initiating prayer, valuing the presence of God, believing in the power of the gospel in order to reach people for Jesus.
• Planning and coordinating the daily operations of The Ledge as the outreach and ministry center of The Rock Church. This will involve, but are not limited to the daily tasks of:
  • Planning and scheduling staff and volunteers for the ministry.
  • Discipling, equipping and training of volunteers and staff members.
  • Taking ownership of the marketing function through social media and other creative outlets.
  • Ordering and purchasing of raw materials as well as managing stock levels for efficient operations.
  • Maintenance of the physical building and equipment of the Ledge.
  • Creating and maintaining administrative systems to keep everything organized and clear.
• Build genuine relationships with guests, community members, and volunteers, creating natural opportunities for spiritual conversations and prayer.
• Participate in and support evangelistic initiatives, community events, and outreach programs connected to The Rock Church.
• Assist in cultivating The Ledge as a welcoming, Christ-centered space that reflects the values and mission of The Rock Church.

1.2      Online Evangelism & Discipleship

• Collaborate with the Pastor of Evangelism and Discipleship to create, curate, and publish faith-based digital content (e.g., short-form videos, testimonies, Scripture reflections, evangelistic posts, reels, blogs).
• Engage meaningfully with individuals online through comments, messages, and digital conversations, providing pastoral sensitivity and evangelistic clarity.
• Use digital platforms (e.g., Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, TikTok, websites) as tools for:
  • Gospel proclamation
  • Spiritual curiosity and dialogue
  • Invitation into in-person community and discipleship
  • Monitor digital engagement and adjust strategies to foster authentic connection rather than passive consumption.

1.3      Discipleship & Spiritual Formation

• Support the discipleship pathway of The Rock Church by helping move individuals from online engagement into embodied Christian community.
• Model a life of prayer, obedience to Scripture, and dependence on the Holy Spirit in all ministry contexts.

1.4      Leadership & Team Collaboration

• Serve collaboratively as part of the Evangelism and Discipleship ministry team.
• Participate in ministry planning, prayer, and evaluation meetings as required.
• Support volunteers involved in outreach and digital ministry through encouragement, training, and example.

1.5      Submission & Accountability

• Demonstrate humility, teachability, and a willingness to submit to the spiritual leadership of the Lead Pastor and Pastor of Evangelism and Discipleship.
• Affirm and live in alignment with The Rock Church’s Statement of Faith.
• Enter into covenantal membership with The Rock Church, maintaining accountability to the elders and congregation.

• A mature Christian faith, evidenced by a life submitted to the Lordship of Jesus Christ and empowered by the Holy Spirit.
• A clear calling and passion for evangelism and mission.
• Strong Christ-like character and integrity in personal and public life.
• Ability to articulate the Gospel clearly and relationally to those outside the church.
• Willingness to engage consistently in:
  • Sunday worship gatherings
  • Missional Community Groups
  • Serving within the life of the church

3.         Desired Skills & Experience (Bonus Competencies)

• Experience in evangelism, missions, outreach, or ministry (formal or informal).
• Demonstrated ability to create engaging digital content for ministry purposes.
• Familiarity with social media platforms and digital communication tools.
• Basic skills in video creation, storytelling, or online engagement strategies.
• Theological training or ministry education (formal or informal).
